Support our emergency response
When such an emergency strikes, medical needs are often serious and represent one of the first priorities for those affected. The ability to respond quickly and independently can mean the difference between life and death for thousands of people. The generous, ongoing support of donors, before and during emergencies, enables us to deploy medical professionals, equipment and materials very quickly in emergencies. With the help of our emergency fund we are able to provide aid and hope to all those affected by such calamities.
Examples of what your donations can provide:
$2 can provide sanitary towel for one girl per month
$10 can provide a meal for five families of five heads
$10 can provide about 100 000 litres clean water which is enough for 5 000 people per day.
$15 enables us can vaccinate 50 children against measles.
$50 provides special, highly nutritious food to help one severely malnourished child recover within four weeks.
$60 provides midwife with tools such as simple delivery kits to stop labour complications from becoming life-threatening.
$100 can provide an emergency kit stocked with medicines and basic medical supplies. With these kits, teams provide on-the-spot medical care to patients in the field before they can be transferred to a medical facility.
Fieldworkers can easily carry these compact kits while travelling on foot or by motorbike to remote areas.
